Maybe I have missed it in the threads, but can anyone explain how the face angle adjustment works?  I am just not getting it?

Thanks in advance!

Sole plate on the bottom raises and lowers as you set it.  It only works if you one of the few that actually soles the driver on the ground at address....and it only could possible work if that surface was flat.

Its a total gimmick!

So how does that adjust the face angle then, assuming you ground the head?

Joe, I thought I remembered your initial impression of the R11 being favorable.  Am I remembering incorrectly or have you changed your mind with more testing?

The thing that makes me laugh is the fact that they're trying to convince people that they can, for example, increase the loft (by closing the face) then adjust the face angle with the sole plate (assuming it works) and not change the loft back to where it started.

I still feel the driver is really good in terms of performance...and I really dig the white color (fad or not), however...im not sold on sold plate.  I was questioned on the heads I sold on whether the sole plates actually worked... And the did, but im just confussed on what the hell it was  actually accomplishing.

The way I'm looking at it, the sole plate simply is increasing the amount of adjustability from 2* open/closed (and loft up/down) to 4* in either direction.  Since I don't think a ton of people are really going to use a driver that's 4* open or shut, I'm skeptical about the benefits, but I do agree that it feels and looks great.  I didn't get it on a LM, so I can't really comment on the performance yet.

Fad or not, I'm getting me some of that Whitey....  I may go with the Superfast, however, so I don't have to think about all the variables.
My Superdeep was the best performing driver to date (until the hooks came).

I hear TM is having issues with the SuoerFast heads hence the reason the launch date has been pushed back.  If all the heads has spin numbers as high as the one I tested.. We may not ever see it to retail.  I was getting spin numbers inthe 3500+ with the 9.5 SuperFast w/Diamana Ahin'a.   The same set up with my old SuperFast was getting 2300-2500 numbers.

Honestly, I wasn't told either way.  It was just said that the SuperFast drivers were going to delayed.

The one I tested however was the TP.

Found out today that my shipment of R11's, SF2.0's and SF 2.0 TP's are en route.  No delays whatsoever.  Watched many guys, some good, some bad, at the show today on Flightscopes.  Saw a ton of spin numbers in the 1900 to 2400 range.  Especially good numbers with the Ozik HD-6's...

Sorry for the OT, but does anyone know when the R11 Rescue will be released in the TP version?
