I would go Luke Donald or David Howell, both strong and steady players.

How long is the course? I could look it up but I'm lazy..think Howell is a good pick. I worry about Luke's lack of distance...Howell has guts and so does Luke but Howell is ready for a big stage I think...thanks. Good ones.

I'd second Ian Poulter or some unknown European...  I have a feeling if it's not Tiger, it'll be some unknown European....

The game of golf is played pin high!!  If anything, take one more club.  Far too many golfers never hit their approach shots even remote close to the green.

I'd go with either of these and throw Paul Casey into the mix as well

I am not saying it cos im a monty fan but i think he should be the pick cos i beleive he can go one better and finally win the damn thing. Also the course and surface suits hes style of play.

my mark picked him and I think it's a poor one...emotionally I'd love to see him win...got to know him a little when he came to play Harding last year..good guy and hard to believe that the most dominant player (perhaps) in Ryder Cup history has not won a major and is lacking in a US PGA win. Think Ogilvy will take a while to win another.. the course looks absolutely magnificent and is gonna jack everyone around...who is the toughest? Surprised no one has picked Ernie or Goosen...Clarke?

edit-Apples? The down under guys are tough..maybe Scott....

got two days to pick. VJ and Tiger vs. Phil and Monty...so far... for all the $$$.

Go with one of the Aussie guys, Scott, Ogilvy or Appleby, if they're even playing. If they're not, I'm sorry I've made a fool of myself.

The guys from down under are always good choices

Sounds good to me - I'd take time off of work for that trip!

I'd have to go with Goosen. He's had some misfires lately in majors, but the rest of the time he's been quite solid. You don't win the US Open twice if you aren't.

so here's the deal..I got TW, VJ and Darren...agents against all evil.

...and my half witted, ds adversary and stupid idiot opponent has the Crash and Burn Bros. Phil and Monty (aka: Casanova) and Ells (who I'd take on my team anyday)

There is a bit on the line (3 figures) and already some whining..."bet's off" cause my wife has her period and you didn't take your pick on Monday so I bet Rubin. etc. Lame.. but we are good to go now...

Ever bet a guy where the bet is almost of no consequence but the guy is just such a jag?...He used to be my 4 ball partner. A Reinstated Amateur who always wants strokes. Sure Dude. Welfare is not my middle name...

One day we are in the hunt and he is having a balance problem because he thinks our opponents cheated on an OB call on 3... I approved what they did and he starts biatchin about it on 5 and then on 16 he starts with this "if you hadn't" crap... Fukin' 13 holes ago...He's famous for remembering the putt he missed on 2 and just having to talk about it as you are walking to a shot where you need to concentrate a bit on 17... It's here now, Are you?

Anyway..wish me luck...and thanks for all the recs...I hope an Aussie from Royal Melborne comes through and everyone gets a piece of it...

Highest finisher takes all. Go Tiger...
