Sounds kinda like me!

BTW, I am in for next weekend, either day. If we do it another weekend, for me it would have to be the 3rd or 4th of November because of our trip.

Well, I can't do that one or the weekend after that, as I'll be preparing for my first mini-tour event. After that, I think I'm pretty wide open. But one of the next 2 weekends after this week would be best for me.

Tad has said that if we play Stevinson he can TRY to get us all in at a discounted rate (he knows people). I told him that would be great, but if it doesn't work out, that's fine too.

He also mentioned that at Diablo Grande, the Ranch course is not kept up as well as the Legends course, which I would agree with based on my last visit (played the Ranch course). There were issues with the greens and parts of the fairways. We probably won't be able to get on the Legends course as it's semi-private.

I called Stevinson this morning and I can get 25 percent off on the green fees for a foursome.  Resort Price on weekend is $90 so with the discount $68,  My discount is limited to just one foursome however.

If we decide upon the 20th of this month and want Stevinson Ranch let me know and I will call for a tee time if you guys would like!

Just called Diablo Grande and the Ranch course is only open to the public on the weekends.  Cost is $65 per person.  If you have never played here its a good experience.  Not sure why there is less maintenance on the Ranch course vs the Legends but I think mainly because the Legends will be totally private at some point.  I think their plans for this planned community is to eventually develop a Palm Springs north.

I'm good for the 20th. Shall we plan for that date at this point? I am fine with either course, though I think I have a slight preference to Stevinson. I'm thinking a tee time around 10 or 10:30, so I don't have to get up too early... Roll Eyes

How's next Saturday at Stevinson for you, Scott?

And anyone else want to fill out our 4-some? Chris? Tony? Anyone else I'm forgetting?

It's good for me. If we don't get a fourth, I can probably get one. If we have more than four, I can probably get more to make two foursomes. We won't tell the others about the price break!   Tongue  You snooze, you loose!

Per Google, 100 miles from the Post office in Sac to the course:
Stevinson Ranch

I have not heard from Chris yet if he is going. You guys can carpool down to my house and I can drive from there. I am in Manteca, about 3 miles off 99 near 120. I have a 2006 F-150 Supercrew and can seat 5 and throw the bags and carts (if anyone is walking) in back.

It's a very nice course for walking, but carts are included in the price if you'd like to ride.

Hey, Tad, go ahead and make one 4-some reservation to start with tomorrow. If need be, we can probably make a second reservation after that, right?

Dave

Dave,
Tee time for a 4 some done, best time I could get was 10:48 on Saturday the 20th....they did have a 09:45 available but I passed on that time because you mentioned you wanted to start about 10-10:30, plus the later time allowed for travel and warming up on the range and putting green...   If we need a second tee time it would be better if others who are playing commit very soon as its the weekend and they are having an event that evening at the course.

Hungsolo, I got a message back from CHTW and he will be in Vegas playing golf with his dad and Jay Las Vegas.

The offer still stands though, if you want to ride along with me from Manteca down.

Thanks a ton for the invite... however as my schedule is quite crazy at the moment, I'm out.

But I've heard great things about that golf course, so I'm sure that y'all will have a great time.

Hit'em straight!

The game of golf is played pin high!!  If anything, take one more club.  Far too many golfers never hit their approach shots even remote close to the green.

Tad, DaveT319 and I played Stevinson on Saturday. Man the wind was insane. Dave took pictures and video, we will see what comes out when he has time.

Great guys, great time despite the wind.

Great guys, great time despite the wind.

I had a great time spending the day with Scott and Dave.  I would venture to say we had wind gust above 35 mph that day, just trying to keep ones balance was almost impossible and that was before the beers  cheesyf.  If Dave does post pics any Over the top moves you see in my swing are "Wind aided"  whist

Hope to be invited again sometime,

That wind was insane! How many times were we standing over putts only to be blown off-balance? I had a lot more fun once I stopped caring about the results. Hard to play well when you're seeing approach shots going backwards as they come down!

As for the pictures, I'll start a new thread and get them posted tonight. I'll also let you know the date of that show for our next get together if you guys can make it. Nice to meet you guys in person. Look forward to doing it again.

OK, here's the date for the next outing: November 17th. As I told Scott and Dennis, there is a chinchilla show in Santa Nella that weekend that my wife wants to go to. We actually have 2 of our own, but these people literally have hundreds, and it's a competition much like a dog show. So while she's watching that, I have the green light to go play some golf. So, since we just played Stevinson Ranch, we were thinking of playing Diablo Grande this next time. Anyone interested, start letting us know so that we can get some tee times together. With any luck, the weather will still be nice and we can get a few groups together.

Also, as Chris as said in another thread, Natalie Gulbis will be at Haggin Oaks the next weekend for a clinic and autograph signing. If anyone is able to make that, he's also suggesting that we play after the clinic. Sounds pretty good to me. I'm going to go ahead and commit to making that one as well.

Anyone else?
