Here some shots of classics from the past. First is a MacGregor Eye-O-Matic M65W driver (have 3&5 to go along with it). Second, is a set of Wilson Staff Dynapower's (circa 1965). I've had both for several years and have never hit them since owning them. Not sure when the M65W's are from, early to mid sixties would be my guess.

Those are some good looking sticks.  Im not to sure the oil hardened idea would work to well on todays clubs big_giggle

Lighten up guys, none of those clubs are that old!! 
I do remember the sweet spot was slightly toward the heel on those irons and man did they sting when you mis-hit them playing in cold weather.

Agreed. I have several old sets and the '75 Apex are my favorite. I also have a special place in my heart for the Wilson FG-17

Apex's are some sweeeeeet looking clubs. We have this really old school set at US Golf, I don't know its year, but they look so nice... I would buy them if they weren't in mint condition and $1000+ Tongue But FG-17's aren't to shabby either. Too bad wilson hasn't really made to much great equipment
