I'm a sucker for marathon golf, 54 holes on Sat.,36 or more on Sun., & maybe another 36 thru the week.
That's the only way i feel like i get enough since we have what seems like 8 months of winter.

Uh, well, yeah kinda like that. Part of the reasoning behind my many excesses. Golf keeps my mind away from reality. Good idea? Probably not.
But it's what keeps me sane i think. It's all good!

Andy Prutsok, publisher of the Norwalk Reflector, Norwalk, OH. I'm 47, a golfer since the age of 12. Native of West Virginia. My first course had sand greens. At my peak at around age 34, I was a four handicapper but my kids were young and I gave up the game for 10 years to save my marriage. Not sure I made the right decision Grin. Started easing back in about three years ago and this year am finally playing regularly, but I'm just not getting it back. My handicap is stuck around 15. Hitting ball well, just can't get the damned thing in the hole.

This seems like an awsome site. Now maybe I can get off the West Virginia University football forum site for a while.

Looking forward to the interaction.

hey all, just found this site today after reading a post on golfwrx. used to be on BSG as well and when it went off line i found golfwrx and then found this place. i have a feeling im going to like it at these new places better. im a firefighter/paramedic with a lovely wife and 2 girls ages 4 and 6. been playing golf now for about 10 years. still a double digit hcp but ive been working on it more and more when i got my golf club membership. play about 6 times a month and practice in between. love reading about new equipment and i guess you can say im kind of a club ho. i change clubs often.  laugh. looking forward to meeting new friends and reading new insight into things.

thanks

Hi All.  Lanny Lock here.  Been a member at WRX for awhile but not much of a poster and joined BSG a few months ago because I like a good train wreck.  I was a golf professional for ten years up here in Canada and got out of it about 5 years ago.  I am finally having fun with the game (especially the beer cart aspect) and look forward to meeting some of you creative posters. My name is David, I live in small town Western Canada. I'll be 30 in the spring, and I played a lot of golf as a teen but only started playing again 2 years ago. I'm divorced, have 2 sons and moved back here after my marriage ended. Before that, I lived in Edmonton and ran a construction business. I now work in a bar and golf a lot in the summer. I read a lot and like to travel in the winter. I'm hoping to run for council next fall. My life has sure changed a lot in the last few years, so it's still a major adjustment for me.
