Xtreme. The "fix" was not a success. I will have your friend Bill pull this shaft and I will leave it at his store for you sometime next week.  Since my testing is faulted I won't be leaving a review since it wouldn't be fair to Graman . Will have your friend properly put in the UST V2 that I have sitting here and give that a good test.

I have yet another BOM head on the way already shafted with an Accuflex Vizion.  Maybe that is Nirvana.  LOL

The UL540 really impresses me, so much that my R5 will either be on the way to a fellow HO next week or in the BST.
Like LowDraw said, it has the specs and feel of a  Diamana butt 10 times less $$$

I seriously can't wait to try mine.  They shipped it today but will have to see how long it takes to cross the border!

Reading this thread, I need this shaft now.  The V2 is getting a little whippy now that I'm using the new stuff Henry pointed out to me.

Nightmare with the Limey.  I gave the clubmaker the Limey thinking he knew the spine mark should be lined up. He didn't.

I also gave him a Bangomatic head which has a 2.5 inch hosel depth. If someone handed you one of these and a regular shaft you would think they would know enough to do a partial insertion to get it to flex properly. Not my day. He inserted it all the way after doing 2.5 inches of tip prep and glued it up. It freq'd at 263 when done. An X-Stiff. Ugh. Tried hititng it and while it felt good my pathetic swingspeed couldn't get it to kick and the trajectory was too low. Asked him to pull it and do what he can to soften it up as much as possible without showing the tip prep above the ferrule. Might be just trashed and I have to buy another shaft.

I consider this my fault. I should have been very specific about what I wanted since this is the first job by this guy but now it is my last.

Sigh.

Sorry to hear that  Cry  New toys deserve attention to detail...unfortunately most guys with glue don't know enough or care enough to do more than just stick'n glue.

Bob is pulling the Limey that got butchered from the head today.  You can go and pick it up anytime you want.  He is installing my UST V2 at around 146 cpm.

Enjoy that Limey in your 3 wood!

Just hit my newly installed Limey-charged Ignite on the range with the LM and, well, DAMN.  Had it tipped a half inch.  Monitor numbers on average were 165 BS, with carry in the high 280s, which is up about 10 yards from my old shaft, perfect launch angle too.  This shaft feels really nice in the Ignite head.  Working the ball both ways felt very nice.  With the V2 I never felt comfortable hitting the high fade for some reason.  Took XC's advice to tip it .5" and it feels perfect.  Also, hitting the pro's Ignite with Diamana 63 in it, I got almost identical numbers.  Even though I won this shaft in the giveaway, man, I would purchase one in a second.  You can't beat the performance of this shaft for the price.  Thank you Graman!

Thanks for the review.  I can't wait till mine arrives.  What's your SS and what kind of swing to you have (tempo, transition, etc.)?

Wow, sounds great.  I've been thinking of trying the shaft.  It sounds like you struck it rich with your giveaway win.  Congrats on the 10 extra yards!

My SS is usually 105-115, somewhere in there.  I like kind of a softer shaft for some reason, but this shaft is playing pretty firm.  This is only the second shaft I've liked that I've had this stiff.  The V2 was pretty whippy, but it feels good in the 3 wood still.  I have a really long swing and my transition is pretty slow at the top when I'm playing well.

That's it..

We've got to get together soon so that we can have a Sacramento (Nor CAL) GD outing...

Then I can see the Limey....

The game of golf is played pin high!!  If anything, take one more club.  Far too many golfers never hit their approach shots even remote close to the green.

After you see it you will go blind not only from the color, but from its glowing bargain-Diamana aura

You get used to it, yellow is the color that offends your eyes the worst.  A bonus is that I used mine on halloween as a light saber prop
But after your buddies hit it past their $300 Diamana they ask you a few holes later where do you get one of those again.  winkey

The Limey seems so useful.   prop  But yeah, you've gotta find what works and stay with it.  That's what it's all about.

Mine arrived today and, wow, cool colour!  Sometimes it actually looks like it glows.  We'll see how it works, but I suppose I can imagine setting up on the first tee, looking down and staring at the shaft, and, wiff!!

No need to get offended, Kenny was just speculating about hitting it past his buddy's diamana. He does not actually have any friends that he can hit it past cheesyf

WoooWeee!  The UL640 in my SMT DB455 is awesome.  It is the longest driver I've hit....period!  But maybe my swing is just working well at the moment....don't think so though.  I love the color!  The combination is visually loud.  The shaft has a nicer feel than the UL540 I have in my 915cfe.  For a 55 gram shaft you can swing hard and it holds up.  It's very straight.  It's my new favorite shaft.   Roll Eyes
