As you know, Brett and I are not afraid of travel. How about you coming up to the #12 golf town in America on Sunday morning?

Laugh at Sumter if you will, but Golf Digest did the ranking. And I believe it was well ahead of Charleston. So whenever you are ready for some good golf courses, just come on up.

I have had enough of short flat courses, come to CHS when you want play some courses that are in the top 100 come on down to Charleston.  We have guys like Palmer, Nicklaus, Player, Fazio, etc designed courses to play instead of designed by Joe cheesyf

Sumter National was designed by Russell Breeden, the same guy that designed Legend Oaks that you have a tee time for this weekend and many many more awesome courses in the southeast. Those include Shadowmoss Plantation, Persimmon Hill, River Club on the Ashley, Ocean Isle  Beach Club.

Beech Creek was designed by Ron Goodson who also did several other great tracks such as The Traces in Florence, Fox Creek in Lydia, Which are considered to be 3 of the best courses within the eastern half of the state.

Lakewood Links was designed by J. Porter Gibson who has done tons around the country such as Palm Beach National, Stonehenge, Charlotte National, Wedgefield Plantation, and Tomoka Oaks.

Pocalla Springs CC was designed by Ed Riccaboni who did over 40 courses in the state and is a member of the Carolinas PGA hall of fame and the SCGA hall of fame.

Sunset CC is a private course that was done by Mike Stranz of Caledonia, True Blue and Tobacco Road fame. And I also believe Mr Stranz did Bull's Bay in the Charleston area.

SN is 7000 yds from the tips and you get no roll. But since it is so easy, then bring your best game up here and see what kind of score you can shoot on it from the back tees.

You guys can come up to Lancaster and we'll play Lancaster Golf Club. It's a neutral site and a Donald Ross design (I don't believe we need to go thru what he designed...)
