Love my r7 SuperQuad, but I have a boatload of shop credits I'm looking to burn.  Any thoughts on the SuperDeep?

I'm interested as well.  My FT-9 Tour just broke and the Superdeep has caught my eye.

Very good looking club, and the 435cc head looks identical, from the top, to the 460cc SuperQuad.  Not sure if I have to purchase it with the RIP shaft and what it might be worth as a pull...I've read some tepid reviews of that shaft.

I played the Superquad TP just before the FT-9 and loved the look that is why the Superdeep has caught my eye.  As for the shaft, the Fubuki in the FT-9 would definately be used instead of the RIP.  I've seen a few reviews where they said it is for higher swing speed players only and that it's very low spin.  I meet the high swingspeed part, but the low spin has me worried.

It's actually 460cc tho looking from above it looks smaller. I found it to have a smaller hoofprint than the SQ.

Yep, you are right.  Goes to show that you should believe half of what you see and none of what you read:

I'll give my $.02

My swing is slowing down a touch from what was 107ish to now just over 100. I've been playing for nearly 40 years 30+ in the low single digits. I went with the 10.5 Super Deep with the Regular 60g RIP shaft. I was able to try a friends RIP 70 stiff and found it to be quite stout so I opted for the Reg. The club looks great, very reminiscent of the 510TP. The feel was great, very solid and not too loud or too muffled, just a nice CRACK. The performance was not super for me. I think it is so low spin that I was hitting knuckle balls. Trajectory was fine Mid/High flight with ok rollout. I did hit several into the wind drives that were very long for me!! Overall I'd say that if properly fit it would be a great club.
( My buddy with the 125mph swing hit several and bought it on the course from me $$)
He usually uses just stiff shafts even thought he would normally be fit with X. He's still using this combo - 10.5 loft set wide open, heavy toe weight, and Regular RIP shaft
He says its the best driver he's ever had !!!

They've come down to $399 at Golfsmith, so I may look into getting one when the commission check come thru at the end of the month.  Hell, they may start piling up in the used bin...

I picked one up today when I was lookng at them at Golfsmith and noticed a 10.5* with a Fubuki.  Hit on the Vector launch monitor and was getting some pretty good numbers, even though I was a little inconsistant indoors.  Best hit was 12* launch with a ballspeed of 164, 2550 backspin off a 112 mph swingspeed.  Didn't seem like it was the super low spin monster that everyone has been touting it as.  Took it out to the course and hit it ok, but nothing to write home about.  Distance seemed pretty good and the ballflight was pretty strong with the wind not effecting the ball much.  Too early to say if it's better than the FT-9 Tour in my bag before or how long it will last in the bag .
