make the shaft less stiff, or more stiff?  Would like to add some weight, but don't want to mess the flex up a lot.  Some would be fine, but not a lot.  Thanks!

If you're looking to 'simulate' a heavier shaft or add total weight, but not much extra swingweight or MOI, I would add the lead tape below the grip on the underside of the shaft.  Not beneath the grip, below where the grip ends.  If you go past a third or so of the way down, it could start to play with the flex a bit.
