First of all, the Taylor Made 300 driver has a .350 hosel bore, correct?  A friend of mine actually found a TM 300 head laying in the rough at our home course last fall.  I pulled the broken shaft and dry fit a .350 Aldila NVS in it but it seems to have a lot of "play" in it.  I found some of the little brass "thing mah jigs" that I thought were for a .335 shaft to be put into a .350 hosel with.  I used to do a lot of club work for friends and family back in the day so I just happened to have a bunch of these little "do dads".  I don't think I've even ever used them.  For some reason when I dry fit the shaft and brass "thingy" the shaft fits more snug so this is how I will have to assemble it.  What is the proper way to insert the brass insert and shaft?

Cut every other tine down halfway to assure a good hold

The Taylor Made Ti driver came out in 2000 and had a .350" hosel. The brass shims work great. Just trim the tines to insure proper fit of the ferrule

Recommend that you rough up both sides of each tine to insure good adhesion.
