What do you guys use to mark the sole when determining what the proper lie should be?

There are several ways to do it:

1. Some sell a thin, black, 18x12inch, piece of plastic. When hit off of, it will put a mark on the sole of the club. At one time Longshot Golf sold a board with grooves/ridges that put lines on the sole which also showed face angle.

2. Some cover the sole with dry erase ink then have the person hit off a firm mat or even a piece of wood. This will show a clear mark on the sole of the club.

3. Some put masking tape on sole instead of dry erase and do same as #2.

4. Some sell graduated stick on labels for the sole (Longshot Golf) and do as #2.

In all cases, be sure the golfers feet are at the same level as the impact board.

Hope this helps.
