I found 2 brand new Titleist Professionals this weekend while I was cleaning out some stuff and decided to give them a whirl just for kicks. I was really shocked at the results. I am hitting the irons just as far with far greater control over shots, and the driver did not lose but 5 yds max. I really had forgotten how nice these were around the greens. The extra spin definately helps. I did also notice how much nicer it was to be able to work the ball into the hole more. This got me to thinking seriously about comparing the launch monitor numbers with some of the old versus the new balls. The only problem is I do not have access to the old ones. If any of you guys have any in good condition hanging around and would like to donate them for a test, I would appreciate it. I would really like to get a good sample going of different ones. I dont need many of them as I can hit them on the course with my monitor. A sleeve would work just fine. Just let me know what you guys have, and we will have alot of fun with this.

Robby- it would be great if you could try the old Tour Prestige and/or Balata for the heck of it.

How about trying some old Maxfil HT-100 Balatas or some Slazenger 432 interlock balatas if you can find them. Does anyone remember the Rextar Pro Model balls that were out in the early 90s? Those were the first really high priced balls, I believe around $40 a dozen. Weren' they a early version of Bridgestone balls?

I would love to try all of them if I can get them. I think it would really be a great test to do. And I can tell you that Tour Prestige is an awesome ball. I had my second ace with one emot-angel

Bill,

I would love to test whatever you guys can send up my way. I would like at least two of each model, a sleeve would be preferred.

Robby,

if you can, add the Spalding Tour Edition to that list if you find any.

I'd love to see how this compares to the new Nike balls and Pro Vx

Others, Wilson Ultra tour balatas.

... and the Holy grail of Balata golf balls the Titleist 384 LT... doubt there are any of these in existance!
