The driving range is finally open here. I went and hit 4 baskets yesterday, after I paid my season's dues. Was beautiful afternoon, hit a whole bunch of new clubs, and saw a few of my golf buddies who I never see away from the course.

We are having a work party this weekend to get the tarps off the greens & tee-boxes, and pick up trash / clean-up the course.

I somehow ended up with a bunch of clubs to re-grip, methinks I might have a little extra income this year from doing some minor stuff like changing grips and pulling shafts. Never really thought about it that way, until I came home with a set of irons and some wedges and $20.

i played 10 holes yesterday.  i didnt keep score but i probably shot around a mid 50s.  i had issues hitting the ball straight down the fairway.  i thiink my biggest issue is set up whith my driver.  ive been hitting the ball way left of where im looking, not sure if mabye me feet are slipping because i dont have golf shoes.  i was hitting the ball with a nice draw.  i hit 3 wood off the tee on a number of holes and hit the ball really well, my distance all day was very good and better then usual at this particual course.   i was hitting my 3 wood around 260 and the last hole i played i nutted a drve 300 yards.  one of the guys ill be playing with this weekend is a golf instructor so i imagine hell be able to help me out with a few kinks in y game.  itd be nice to stay out of the thick stuff.

after breaking 40 on 2 of my first 4 nine's i figured it was time for a reshaft so i put some fst pro 115 stepless in my 701 with some pro soft inserts that my buddy pauly d shipped over for me to try.  tipped the fst's to x flex, very interested to hit these tomorrow or friday if the weather holds up.  oh yeah, the ft tour finally showed too.  it's like having a whole new bag 2 weeks into the season.   yahoo

1st round since November 21st yesterday.  Shot a nice 86 44-42 given the 20mph winds and cold; I'm not a a good head wind player.  I had back to back 9-10 on short par 4's clapping; other than THAT I cant complain a bit.

The new mp68's are the sweetest things i've ever played with, thanks guys; I'm fully convinced just about anyone could play these sweet looking items.

I'm not privy to the politics on the board but I did hit the lil bastard on the range and noticed no considerable difference from my DCT; both suited with HOF tour proto at 8.5 degrees.   Launch may have been a little lower.?   I must say I liked the looks of it.

Too many courses are flooded out or super soggy up here from all the rain.  sad boy  One course we play often due to proximity is weeks from opening based on what I've heard, and that was before the 3-5" of rain expected the next 2-3 days.

Perfect!   tickedoff  I do have a tee time on Monday while I'm in FL for work though.  I hope to get in another round during the week as well if the stars align nicely for me.
