Rife Frankenstein 243

Every so often you have a nightmare of that hideous creating of a putter. I had one and instantly knew what I wanted to create. Found a Rife 2-Bar on eBay that had seen better days. The weight ports had been completely removed I imagine in the same manner that gave it some numerous "dings" from the cart path and at the same time I imagine was drug behind a cart in the process. This putter was FUBAR when I got it. I put a few minutes in on the grinder and fixed the toe area, but it will require a little bit more work. The back bumpers also suffered the brunt of someones rage as well. The rear flange received some grinding and was rounded off from more close encounters with the cart path.
The putter is going to go off to powder coating tomorrow and not sure what color it is going to have, but I am sure that it will be "unique" in all sense of the word. I realized that I needed to get two new weight ports in there and was racking my brain what would look superb. I realized that using some rubber "O" rings would fill the cavities in a little bit and some silver plated Winchester 243 shells would work great when filled with tungsten. I can't wait to get this done and show you guys how it will turn out and I imagine it will be one of a kind.

You can play 18 with it and then kill dinner.

Used some tungsten powder and filled the casings with primers facing outwards. Fitted it all up and have it gluing up right now. Thing should definitely be sweet when finished tomorrow evening!

Well the putter is finished and leaving it with the brushed sole and bumpers. Decided for the cost I love it the way it is now.
