The best golfer I know has cautioned me for years about constantly switching putters, and he should know - he's had the same Cameron Newport in the bag for 12 years. So this year, I'm taking his advice, and will only be using the Heavy Putter Bullseye model I purchased a few months ago. My wife scoffed at me and said she has $100 I can't make it for the year. She makes considerably more than I do which only adds to the pressure.
How long before I crack?

These are good points, except that it probably does make sense for me to stick to one putter. I've stuck with one set of irons for two-and-a-half years now and that's been good for my game. The clubs I swap out the most, not surprisingly, are the ones I'm worst with. Maybe commitment, or lack thereof, has been hurting me. |
