Hmmm....
12* with a 3-wood length shaft might make a good "brassie" driving club for narrow driving holes.....

Mike - you're killin' me! The Spectrum is a great club head. That is one of the clubs I always regretted selling, I just may have to pick up another. I'm really going to have to decide on something to sell first tho' - THAT is the problem.... hmmm....

This head came out in 2002 so they have "been shafted' for the past 8 years in this case. LOL

8 years is a long run in the driver head world - proof of solidness is in its longevity. Cool. This head came out in 2002 so they have "been shafted' for the past 8 years in this case. LOL

Is this a general statement like "The longest ball in golf" Look up Victor Schwamkrug. Victor used the SMT Spectrum a few years back when he was on the Nationwide tour & averaged 330 yards +. Victor also used a 7° Spectrum to hit a 429 yard drive at the Shell Houston Open.

How many checks did Victor cash on that tour?

How many checks did Victor cash on that tour? According to Mike Tait, he would have cashed more if he had played his 3-wood. And Mike was at some of the events encouraging him to do just that!

Actually, I was screaming at him to tee off with his 6 iron. The amount of checks cashed does not diminish the achievement by a small component company.

Mike,
Is Victor still in the golf business?
John
Not that I know of. He ended up divorced from Ashley, and I think he was taking a stab at getting his tour card again, but I do not hear from him any longer.

To be fair, according to pgatour.com that year 5 other guys hit one further, so take it how you will.
