Last night at about 1:00 AM myself and two friends finished constructing a practice green in my basement.  It is 8' x 15' and half is flat and the other half has a contant slope.  Grainy picture from my phone below.

Look like good work from where I sit. I've been thinking of something similar myself.

Good job!

very nice.  I wish I lived in a place that had basements so I could build a "man cave" for myself.  we have a bonus room but that got taken over by the kids and wife!  the ultimate setup would be to have one of those simulators with the ability to hit into the famous courses like I have seen on some shows.  Now that would be sweet at it would be golf 24/7.

can you hit pitches onto your green- do you have enough room?  that would be nice practice to see how they roll out with the new grooves.

I could hit pitch shots but because the turf is very thick and kind of squishy when you walk on it shots don't really react anything like they do on a real green.  I ponied up for the turf that I got because I wanted it to roll at a more realistic speed in compairison to the greens that I usually play on.

It is probably around 10 on the stimp meter.  It is kind of like the fake turf that some driving ranges have that you can actually stick a tee in, but made for putting.

About the same amount that is currently needed to buy a R9 SuperTri TP at msrp.

that's pretty good and pretty handy on your part.  also being a 10 on the stimp is nice as it's not too fast or slow.  good way to groove your putting stroke.
