i have a customer who wants Scotty Cameron putter restored. it is a Santa FE teryllium. don't know the year. i think they were made from 1996 thru 2000.
Scotty wants $195.00 plus s/h to fully restore it. i don't know the value of the putter.if it is valuable maybe Scotty is the best way to go.
i am hoping that witt, camster etc.might have a suggestion on whether the work should be done by Scotty or can a quality job be done by a reputable restorer at a lower cost? anyone have a suggestion on what the value of these putters are?

Best way would be to give Frank "camster8" a call or shoot him a PM letting him know.

Just make sure the copper insert isn't trashed.  I believe they were custom to each putter.

I'm sure you can get something to work, but I know Cameron will send it back and have you eat the shipping!

Great putter by the way.

Kevin does killer work as well.

There are a lot of different people who do quality work on putter restorations.

I guess we could get a list going.

Ebay sales in the past month for your putter have been - $405/172/365/169/225/147/305/321 -

Heres my take on Cameron - Like everything else he promotes I think you will be overpaying for a service that you can get the same results for elsewhere.

If you use recognized restorers such as Colbert / Slighter / Frank (Ace of Clubs) you will not have any concern nor will a buyer question your choice.

As to Cameron's quote - what exactly is it your customer looking for ?
Two of these restorers have price lists on their sites - I would be interested in applying their prices to see what they might charge
