Have a tee time tomorrow...think it'll melt by then?

The table on the middle right is a standard 30" height.

Local news said we only got 21". It was a mofo shoveling all that. I just mixed up a nice stiff drink and sat down to watch some golf, I think there may be a few more of those drinks this evening.

That is awesome!!!!!!  We just got rain down here in NC.  That snow did screw up my travel plans yesterday trying to come home from Ottawa.  My flight into Dulles got canx'ed, so I had to scramble to find a different travel route.  Wouldn't have minded staying for the beginning of Winterlude, but wanted to get home to the family.

The next problem is that it's going to stay cold for the next week with temps not getting above the mid 30's.

Hey, I recognize that weber grill! -- We have its twin over here in Falls Church.

The bet is whether we will see a plow come down our cul de sac before we get more snow on Tuesday PM.

Til then, the cars are going nowhere... but at least we have power.

Wow, that is a lot of snow.  It was 60 and sunny today in Oregon.  My daughter and I went to the range for the first time in a couple of months.

So the roof over the engine bay of our local fire station (the busiest station in the county) collapsed under the weight of the snow, apparently with most of the equipment inside.  The entire building may be condemned.  The next closest fire station was also evacuated for fear of collapse, and all the equipment was moved across the street from the station.

10-20" more coming tomorrow according to NWS.

I got so sick of the damn cold weather I just flew out to Phoenix on a whim today.  I'll play golf for a few days then hopefully it will be decent enough to go home.

I thought the same thing.  Went to Tampa for a week to visit wife's family and get my winter golf fix.  Weather wasn't perfect but I played every day (and pretty well, actually).

Got home Friday (Chicago NW burbs) and now we're getting a foot of snow.  Wonderful.

I'm home with my kid as preschool is closed.

Forecast was for 1-2"  We got more like 5, and that was on top of the sleet and freezing rain.

So much for living in the South.
