Found a Spalding TP Mills Design blade putter at a local Goodwill. Can anyone give me an estimate on its value? Thanks!

I have bought several lately from people. Mostly redone so paid more than goodwill prices. Bought a 17 that is perfect (might have been redone but I don't care). I need to start yardsale shopping if I am going to keep buying them! Probably done unless I can find more 17s.

I have had exact same putter for a while now - picked up cheap locally and re-gripped and it makes the bag every so often - really nice feeling putter

You can find sites online that will explain the numbering, but basically, it was just the 15th design he'd released in the series. |

Of course, TP Mills originally made custom putters for PGA Tour players. He adapted some of his designs for Spalding in a more affordable offering begin with. Remember taking my Spalding TPM 12 on a vacation in 1984. Found an article written in Golf Digest in 1986 by Lew Fishman in which he said the real collectible versions of the the Spalding were the TPM 1 and TPM III models. Both had the words "Tour Pro Model" on them. These early versions had ferrules on them.
These were produced for several years, and followed by a series like yours, which had larger heads, were more forgiving and had really nice feel.
Later they came out with even more extravagant series that were "oversized" and finished in both matte gold and smoke finishes with milled faces. These efficient heads, meaning they had a higher MOI than the older ones. And their shafts were slightly larger but smaller than conventional sized, but still had great feel. Not many of them around anymore. They were gorgeous and pretty expensive in their day. The original TPM series can still be found on occasion.
The last mass produced TP Mills putters I saw within the last 10 years were done for Mizuno and I thought were terrific.
