We are considering taking my daughter, son-in-law and grand daughter to Disney this spring.

Question - my grand daughter turned 2 in August - is she old enough to enjoy it?

She will enjoy it, my daughter did at that age (Disneyland), but sadly, she doesn't remember a bit of it now (she's now 6).  If you waited a year, I think she would get more out of it for sure.

x2.

We have friends that took their 6, 4 and 2 year olds, and the youngest doesn't remember anything of it.

If you do go, get one of those smoked turkey legs that the vendors sell. Unreal tasty.

I've taken the son to Dutch Wonderland (poor man's Disney) at the ages of 2 and 3.  He had a blast both times.

It really depends on what you want to do.  There aren't too many rides that she will be able to go on, but there are plenty of things to see and do that will sub right in perfectly.  I have taken my wife and kids quite a bit over the past 8 years, and they all enjoy it.  My son first went when he was 4, and couldn't go on a lot of the rides.  The best thing about Disney World, is that there are some rides that your grand daughter will still really enjoy, because there are no height restrictions, and there are lots of shows that go on all day at all of the parks.  Spring is a good time as it isn't quite so busy.  I went during the Summer and it wasn't too busy.  Try to skip Christmas week through New Years, as well as the food and wine festival at EPCOT as those are the busiest times.  The food and wine festival at EPCOT is awesome, but it is so crowded.  The food samples from all of the countries is amazing though.

We went when my oldest daughter was 3, and she had a blast.  She is almost 5 now and talks about Disney World all the time.  Just a heads up, if you go all out at the Bipty Boppity Boutique you are going to spend $300 - $350.  I had a little sticker shock at first.  I still think it was a bit steep, but my daughter loved it.

We go 2 out of every three years.  My son was 2 on his first trip (now 11) and my daughter was 16 months (now 4).

They can definitely enjoy it at 2 years, but you do have to make sure you aren't pushing them.  They won't be able to go on the thrill rides of course, but Disney has a "rider switch" system so the rest of the party can go on those rides.

Some children also get scared by the dark rides even though they are allowed on them.  They are pretty loud and of course dark at times.  But other kids have no problem at all.

The characters scare the begeezes out of some kids, and others love them.

You'll want to make sure she gets her nap.  If she can do that in the stroller, great.  Our's did so that was nice.  But if that doesn't work you might have to plan breaks back at the hotel.

Overall I'd say that yes, it is worth it and even though she won't remember much in a few years it will still be a fun experience.  Plus she'll enjoy seeing the pictures and video of herself and the family.

That said, the key question in my mind is whether this is a once in a lifetime trip or something that you might want to do again maybe 4 or 5 years down the road?  If it's a one and done deal, I'd wait until she's a little older.  Like I said, it's fun for a 2 year old, but it's probably even more fun for a 7 year old, plus older children are a little easier to manage there.

But if you might want to go again, by all means, go for it now and have a great time.

Let me know if you have any other questions or want more info.  I can probably help a lot and I can also point you to some good websites.
