Golf etiquete is an important part of the game of golf, it is very important to have good etiqute or people will not play with you

golf etiquete is more what "not" to do than what to do, so here you go!

10 RULES FOR WHAT NOT TO DO ON THE LINKS
1. use your club to try to kill an animal
2. step in peoples lines
3. see how many times you can say the f-word in one sentence
4. talk while people are hitting
5. blame inanimate objects for your bad shots
6. cheat, never cheat ever, the penalty for cheating should be either the stocks, a tar and feathering, or a brick to the head
7. catch "mad air" while in a cart
8. run on the greens
9. fist pump, its not really etiquete, just a pet peave of mine when people do it. You may think you look like tiger, but chances are you just look like your retarded
10. last but certainly not least is... Coaching people, never be "the coach" unless someone asks, they probably are just humoring you by nodding after everything you say but they are really thinking.. if he doesnt shut up in 5 seconds im going to hit him with my 7 iron

follow these rules and you'll be evryone favorite person to play with! big_giggle

Speaking of etiquette....Did you see Rory Sabatini on 17?  sitting over the green as his partner was 100 out?  then chipping/putting before Ben Crane could get to his ball....talk about poor etiquette.  I dont' care if your partner has "put your group on the clock" that's just wrong!

I would add no club throwing to that list.

last  night while i was out looking for my lob wedge that i had left on the course, (my friend and I had a cart looking for it.) he decided it would be sweet to go down a hill and turn and slide.... I think you know where this is going.

The cart turned up onto one wheel, and then completely flipped ontop of me and him, it was one of the scariest moments in my entire life! i was holding the cart up just above my left arm and my neck, while the corner wa pushing down into my other shoulder. shok

My friend was able to lift the cart of him and then me (thank god), if he did not i would not be making this post right now. yahoo

I didn't even follow my own rule! im such an idiot.... on the plus side i saw a few bunnies out on the course

so seriously, don't catch "mad air" is a good rule to follow

i would also add, no doing donuts in the sand traps.  A buddy of mine did that once, granted it was entertaining for a moment but still a bone headed move to say the least.
