I was playing in our Red, White & Blue tourney today.  Its a four ball tourney.  I got to hole #6 which is a 165 (white tee marker) par 3 protected by hills on the right and bunker wetlands on the left.  Pin was up as was the the tee box so it was about 153 today.  I smooth 8 iron right down the middle.  It hit close to the pin but as there is a hill and bunker protecting the front of the green you can't see the hole.  The comment was wow that looks like a great shot.  I said yes should be an easy kick in for birdie.  We get up to the green and there were 3 balls and my partner starts yelling "It's in the hole!"  Walked up to the hole and sure enough it was in the bottom of the cup!

In other related news I broke 80 for the first time.  Shot a 79 finishing with two doubles.

We won the tourney with a 67 and that was carding 1 double and 3 bogies.  We defended our win from last year very well.

Funny you ask. The membership of my club has a $5 insurance option but from some reason they didn't have me on the list even though I ask to be on it 18 months ago.  It pays up to $500 for bar tab.  I also had to leave for work so I bought drinks for the teams that were finished and in the club and then left drinks for other guys I golf with regularly and had to leave to go to work.   So I ended up getting off pretty easy it was only $75 the last time I saw it.
