Thanks Mike. I don't know if I can use 10 drivers, but you never know.  prop

The FS3 with the Voodoo shaft has got to be the nicest looking club combo I've seen yet. I love the DCT, and I've had DCT's with DVS shafts, VS Proto's and one time ( not really official) with a Harrison Mugen. That Viper TI 460 with the Patriot shaft looks VERY good and is very patriotic looking.  The club head is dark blue and the inlay paint is red and blue, makes you want to salute  prop.  The FS3-Voodoo combo, the pictures do not do it justice.

Great looking bag Rick, and I am a fan of the head covers (though I don't know how I feel about Smoltz not being a Brave, But I'm also a BoSox's fan) you get to hit the new driver yet?

Yes I did, this afternoon after work finally! The FS3 is a forgiving beast, especially for someone that has not hit a driver in 3 months   shocking. The Voodoo feels stiffer than the stated flex, but I've hit stiffer. Part of it could be me. This Voodoo is VS Proto based, but to me felt different. It actually felt smooth, but a little stiffer than what I'm used to. Very stable and I hit some very very nice shots.

I'm going to post a full review about this combo.

Thanks about the HC's, that's my life right there. Panthers fan and UNC fan by choice, Braves fan from birth thanks to my family. Roll Eyes

A club I regretted selling around the Holidays is coming home! Yep call me a ho but I was able to get my DCT 551 12 deg w VS proto 60 R back! I sold it trying to raise some extra needed cash around Christmas and hated doing it. The guy that bought it took really good care of it, was moving and now he needed some extra cash.

The funny thing was, I regretted selling it so badly I had plans to try to duplicate it ( even though it would not be a 551, just a std DCT 12).

I should have my new-old club back in about 1 week.  yahoo

I have heard that is a sign of extreme hio-itus when you sell a club and end up buying it back. cheesyf

Ya know, I saw that and seriously considered it because of the shaft, but the 12* was a deal breaker. Good for You!

Thanks. I was down right stupid to sell it. Bonuses have been off from normal (rotten economy), and I figured I had the FS3 and that should be enough. Turns out, looking back I really didn't need to sell that one. I've had similar clubs but this one hit very well for me.

The new version is still better than anything dook  laugh

Hey the 551 will get the UNC Magnetic HC when it comes home. I had a big head Ramses HC several months ago. That thing was freakishly huge, got it from Golfsmith on sale one time. Ended up selling it on ebay.

The DCT 5 wood ( 17 deg 4 actually ) wood was re-shafted with a Aldila HM-2000 Tour 85 gr shaft. This is a great shaft you can get dirt cheap at Aldila's ebay store ( if there are any left). I bought 2, and will shaft the 2nd one up with a DCT 3 wood head soon.

Another new addition to my arsenal is an Alpha V5 5 wood. This one happens to be 17 degrees also, so yep another 4 wood  yahoo. I have not hit this beauty yet due to work and back strain, but I plan to hit it this coming weekend God willing.

It is a stunning golf club. HOF Mike Dobbyn shaft. The parts came from Neil at Phoenix Golf World, and I assembled it. D4 swignweight at 42.5".

The thing I and a friend found by testing is the V5 5 woods is that they are longer than a normal 5 wood. They have larger faces becasue it's titanium the volume is larger  but the weight is the same as say, a geek 5 wood.

I still have my V5 3 and bag it for really tight fairways or really long par 5s.

you'll like the dobbyns shaft in the fairway wood. I put two in my Geek 3hree and 5ive...all I can say is me likey!! alot more control over the standard HOF Patriots. Hope your back gets to feeling better. I just tweaked mine from packing and moving stuff to Augusta and doing some Olympic lifts this AM.  tickedoff

I may try the HOF in the DCT fw and the HM 2000 in the V5 down the road. The DCT "4" wood really blew me away. I can't wait to see how the V5 works too.

Thanks Rob. I've hurt my back like this before, and it's taken me up to 2 weeks to get back to normal.
My family and I went to UNC with my inlaws Saturday to see the UNC Basketball Hall of Fame. Walking around Chapel Hill made it feel worse at the time. Now I feel pretty good.

I made a decision over the weekend to really focus on using specific clubs, and focus on improving my game instead of swapping clubs back and forth.

This FS3 10.5 is actaully an 11.5 head. The FS3 hits higher for me than a DCT does too, and this combo with an untipped VS Proto 44.5" long at D4 is a beast!

The Alpha V5 fw woods are great thrivers for me. A lot of people have used these fw woods off the deck very well, and off the tee. The face is taller than I'm used to. Off of a tee, the V5 fw wood is scary long for me. Off the deck I struggle. I do believe it's me, and not the fw wood. Alpha makes a great product. If they made a more low profile version of the V5, it could be IMO the best fw wood ever. I went through the exact same thing with the Cobra SZ fw woods. This club reminds me of that one, only hotter.

The wedges, all I can say is wow! I know it's early, but so far I'm extremely happy with them. This could be the best set of wedges I've owned yet! So far, these Rifle Spinners are perfect for me, they work better than the 5.5's I had in my old Burrows set and in my 1st set of RAC wedges.

Next up, I have 1 Alpha RX-2 4 iron with a Rifle 4.5 shaft I'm testing. The RX2 head is slightly smaller than the X-16 head, but it has a cleaner overall look. The sole width is close to the X-16 sole width. IMO it's mid width, much better than some of the wider sole irons you can find in the stores. The RX-2's have less offset than my X-16's.  I need more time to hit this in play. The RX-2's have everything I've been looking for in a possible replacement to my X-16's, not too small, less offset, "just right" sole width, weight seems perfect ( I was able to get this iron to D4 with little difficulty, same length and swing weight as the X-16 version).
