So, my local shops don't have the TP version, but I have been checking out the regular 09 Burner and noticed that it is only slightly closed at address. Who out there has seen the TP version? Is it square to open? I've read somewhere that there is not much difference. ANY INFO?

Have talked to a couple of ho's I trust and the early word is this driver is quite good and better than the 08 version. It is supposed to sit square and one source I trust thinks it will be one of the best drivers in 09.

Unfortunately I can't help you with ebay. I hear the rumors about fakes so I don't blame you for using caution.

Seen them with my own two eyes and it is a SWEET looking setup. Didn't hit it, but I would definitely consider it. The head is huge, and I like it. Set up open.

I love my 09' TP, I do have an aftermarket VooDoo (from Aldila) in it though... I have held off and after four rounds (still the honeymoon period!) I have to say after trying 6 drivers in 2008 and going back to the 07' Burner/VooDoo combo late in the year, with the 09' TP it is a tremendous upgrade. The first strike was so solid, I smiled and thought (no joke --- R510 Feel) with the triangular shape it so much straighter that the 07'...I will not hype this in any way, for myself however it is an awesome bomber. Off the record I think that this model will be a huge success...

Would you agree with the others that it sits pretty square? Also, did you order it direct from TM? I know with OEM's the lofts can be off...so how true to loft did you find it? Speaking of loft, does it launch like the loft stated or is it high/low launching for its loft? I play 10.5 but don't want a high climber...i've heard it is pretty low spin. Sorry for the questions, but your endorsement has me ready to give it a go.

Saw it yesterday here in Ohio. I always thought the regular Limited sat pretty square but when I put it side by side the TP looked MUCH better/open. Same shaft selections as 08 TBTP(X-Con 5, WB, and Rombax). $499. Which means it will be on ebay for $250 by March.

Every year TM has a new driver that is better than last years and is 25 yards longer, just like their new irons

give it a go man... you will be pleasantly surprised! no problem on your questions at all. Keep them coming and glad that I could help. I bought it off of ebay and ditched the stock shaft, the VD that I have in it was bought through an authorized Aldila dealer...I had the 10.5 in the 07' Burner as well...it launches higher than the 07' so I assume it is prolly at least 11 to 12 degrees, it looks open to my eye as does any high lofted driver...I am not that scientific, it just works, very well. I have my drivers set up to be all carry and hardly any roll...go down a degree from what you typically play is the only advice taht I would give to you

Every year TM has a new driver that is better than last years and is 25 yards longer, just like their new irons Come on Cruiser, who gives a shi-ite what any companies life cycle is... if it works game it on a side note I said to a playing partner, this has to be it, it cannot possible get any longer or straighter...seriously the geometry of the 09' TP design makes this club soooo straight...firmly in the bag on an additional side note the 2008 drivers that I bought and gamed started 2008 with a 07' Burner bought the year before from RexWrx Gamed in 2008 L4V -- with Whiteboard, a real crack pipe...meaning a tempo killer Nike 5900 Nike 2 Tour Ping G10 Callaway Hyper X Tour - longest tenure in the bag for 08' -- 6 months almost bought an Adams on a RexWrx groupbuy --- said to self..."stop the insanity"...go back to what works actually RexWrx has an assist here, it was "Shawnee I cringed when you broke up that 07' Burner/Whiteboard combo"...he was right...so I went back to an 07' with a early release VooDoo w/TM graphics in the fall...great set up and a shaft spinner -- splitter a No warranty head that XC, Mr3putt and RexWrx all had at one time, as the fourth owner, it was end of life ha-ha...the new 09' Burner came out just as I was buying a new VD shaft...the rest is history, I will not use the B word here at all...If you don't try it tough luck, you guys will miss out

I figure the right shaft with stability will be perfect in the 10.5. So how high is high? Is your 09 a 10.5 as well? You seem like you don't mind the higher launch? I only swing it at about 105 area so I don't think the 10.5 will hurt me. On a side note...dare I ask what Ebay dealer you went with? I've seen plenty on the Bay from what they call Authorized dealers and powersellers, but I just remain a bit skeptical. I'm just not going to pay 4 bills at my local pro shop. I've bought all my drivers on Ebay and haven't been ripped yet, but TM has had their share of fakes.
