This is going to be THE driver for 2009. This will own the tee box on Tour and on the links. Whoa... TM is already dominating the tee box at Harding. The overwhelming majority of folks I see have a TM driver in play. But this.... this is going to be something special... especially with the Fuji Motore and other high end shafts available. WOW! Of course, until May when they come out with 3 more NEW and IMPROVED models.

"Time will tell just how revolutionary this club really is." my point exactly! You jump in and down it before it's 1st week in play is over!!!! And at the moment it looks like winning, if Perez keeps his bottle (commentry says he was nailing it all week) But that counts for nothing to you i bet. Yes you can quote the driving stats but where are the putting stats to prove your case, like driving they don't exist. Where were the top of the moneylist in putting? Keeping the ball in play DOES count more than you say, just as Sricker after he hit 5 off the tee and the stat goes down as PPGIR 2.00. The Quad burned him way more than the 2 putt. Keep it in play! Hope to hear from you once the club has been in play a year I dont want to get in the middle of this lovers quarrell, but I thought I should mention, its a Taylormade, it wont even be around in 6 months, let alone be in play for a year....

The air way up there on your pedestal must be thin and making you cranky. You were very confrontational from the start in this thread and just because someone has a different opinion to you doesnt mean you get to be a pr*ck. We all know about TM's product cycle and I thought that was pretty funny. Before YOU go telling me what to do before I post again, how about you come on down from your high horse and have a little fun. You have your opinion and I'll have mine. Super. I'm glad we had this talk and feel that we really accomplished a lot today.

Easy Trigger, don't get your panties in a knot! My feet are firmly on the ground not like some with their heads in cuckoo land. The thread was about the new R9 and true to form as per any TM thread the monkeys are queuing up to speak about 3 week cycles and the like. Thats the BS right there, no facts, no dates, nothing just pure Bull. If you want short cycles how about Adams? If you want to accomplish something how about starting a TM bashing thread and all the others can post on it with no need for any grasp on reality. ps I quite enjoy having a laugh using a little sarcasm at the bashers, lighten up!

You are correct, TM is no where near 3 week cycles. According to their website, since the introduction of of the 07 Burner there have only been 8 new models. Mind you, they aren't listing the Limited TP or the new Burner TP or R9 or the R9TP, and it also doesn't account for the various versions of several of the models approved by the USGA, but they are no where near 3 weeks. Five or six weeks at best.

Have you not started your thread on "random numbers with no real rhyme or reason" yet 100 weeks since the 07 divided by 8 EQUALS 5 or 6 you say. Another candidate for your stats on random numbers! I bet you shoot low when you add up your own scorecard ps, have you considered the R9 isn't listed as it's not been released yet!

I bet you shoot low when you add up your own scorecard ps, have you considered the R9 isn't listed as it's not been released yet! How many weeks SINCE the 07Burner. You do realize than means the weeks following, right? Lets assume for a second that since the intro of the 07 Burner their next release occured 10 weeks later. That means 90 weeks. There have been at least 10 drivers released PLUS a number of others not listed on the site but listed on the USGA site, Not even counting those on the USGA site, we are still looking at a 9 week product intro cycle. As I stated in my last message, TM is no where near a 3 week cycle. However, including all the releases, including those on the USGA site, they are on a cycle of about 6 weeks. I have some TM product in my bag so this is not a case of being anti TM, this is a case of anti-ridiculous hype. Once again, there is NO need to make any of this personal and making derisive comments. If you cannot post without making it personal why don't you just find someplace else to go. Unless I'm mistaken, GD is a place where differing views are shared without the personal attacks and BS. If I am mistaken about that I hope one of the mods will let me know and I'll go elsewhere. If I'm not mistaken, you need to tone it down and act like a gentleman.

Yes i can do basic arithmetic, My 100 weeks was based on the usual March release and using your 8 clubs as you said. The R9 isn't released yet so how can you count it? Not all clubs that go to the USGA are released and I'm not going to waste time looking. As i said earlier, this was a thread about the imminent release of the R9, a posative to look forward too but as per usual it was attacked by the usual BS about Cycles etc. I didn't start the negative vibe, You were one of that group, jumping on it before the end of it's first tournament saying it was a failure! Yet you say you are against ridiculous hype!? Yes GD supports differing views I think, you along with some others chose to P*ss on the R9 and TMs cycle with the usual rhetoric but if anyone dares to disagree with you, you call fowl! I chose to point that out and have a laugh with my own humour, somewhat sardonic but we all don't share the same viewpoint or humour so each to their own as you point out! Throw out some real numbers not speculation and i will be glad to drop the sarcasm, nothing personal you understand

You are right, i was trying to keep it a posative against those who chose to run it down as per all TM threads. I've had my say and am done. As i said earlier I'm going to wait to the R9 comes out, buy the r7 Limited at a discounted price then buy the R9 figuring i saved on the Ltd so the R9 was at a discount too

Throw out some real numbers not speculation and i will be glad to drop the sarcasm, nothing personal you understand NOWHERE have I said the R9 is a failure and if you look at my numbers, the R9 is not included in the count of 8. Nor were the Limited and Burner TPs. Even without the R9s, there are still 10. Also, while there might not have been true "public" releases of the numerous other versions of clubs,TM did "release" them, obtained USGA approval and they are certainly available through any number of sources, some even through sponsors of this site. I merely pointed out some stats that clearly show that putting trumps driving when viewing stats of the top finishers in the tourney. This is consistent for virtually every tournament. The point I was making is that there is so much hype about the latest and greatest in drivers, and this is certainly not just the domain of TM, but when you look at the facts it is clear that the winners are always those that have a hot putter, and occasionally those that are driving it well. I have thrown out the number on the standings for the top five with regard to driving accuracy and putting. It is abundantly clear that the top 5 ranked considerably higher in the putting stat than in the driving. Again, this is true week after week yet all the hype centers on drivers. There is little new in drivers and to a great degree, they are completely maxed out. Adjustability is the latest "revolution" yet there are certainly others that have had this revolutionary technology for some time, but didn't have the hype machine to promote it.

Here are some inhand pics of the TP version. From what I can tell the head is the same retail or TP. I can't wait to get it on a launch monitor.

I have NO problem with a 420cc head....I had the original R7 400cc and still have it (or my brother in law "borrowed" it from me)I love the smaller heads...in fact my current big dog is a 905s Titleist with a 400cc head...i don't need a big head to hit it farther into the woods, water or out of bounds or even sometimes down the middle.....it will be only a matter of time before they increase the head size, throw a TP or Tour after the first R9, put a Burner after a model or two and don't forget the Draw model soon to be discontinued...it's just the way TM does it.....
