Up 1 lbs to 188 which is surprising considering how much I pigged out in past 3 days.

So here's the deal with me: the day before my scale broke, it was reading 199. My current weight is actually 208. So, since I KNOW I haven't gained 9 pounds since the last reading, I think it's safe to say that my scale was already off by about 10 pounds. I believe the relative weight loss numbers are accurate, but that an adjustment needs to be made to reflect that my starting weight was actually 225, and am currently down to 208. Shocking and disappointing to find that I'm not as low as I thought and also that I was starting out heavier than I realized, which means that before I started this again I had actually reached 235! shocking Just awful. But the good news is that I am continuing to slowly lose weight, and hopefully it won't be long before I am under 200 for real.

I'm on the new diet and workout routine... get up at 0400 put on a uniform that doesn't breath well in 100+ degree humid weather of Augusta GA, eat when I can, and I have lost 7-8 lbs in 2 weeks... oh and i'm running and lifting the same weather... okay maybe 80+ degree weather for the workouts...the military gym doesn't have the best AC

Sorry I missed the call.  I was traveling, and didn't have a connection.  I weighed in at a different location and on a different scale, and came in at 180.2 pounds.  We will see how my routine keeps up, considering I am at home now.

Well I didn't post last Wed. as I was in hospital for testing. It appears that I have been cheating as of late. I am down to 192 and if you look at my posts this is not a normal loss. I have been diagnosed with Stage 3 Esphongen Cancer and shortly will begin treatments to hopefully will shrink the tumor to the point of making it operable. So I won't be giving any updates as now the goal is not to lose anymore weight. This is a fairly rare cancer with a low survival rate but I know that I will be able to beat the odds. So you guys keep pulling the weight off and stay healthy.

Wow. Wow. I have to say, good luck with everything and keep on the bright side of life. A positive attitude goes a long way with things like this. Good luck to you.

That sucks to hear the news. Like what PGW said, please stay positive and being positive often will do wonders to beat this. Prayers with you and your family.

Lefte,
I'm just passing this along with hopes it helps-
there's the butting heads that Longdrivers can't golf-it isn't golf etc but all aside-one thing we have is that we are a strong group and stick together and support one another.
Within the last week we have pulled together and helped one of our own to help his fight against it.
he is a true inspiration to alot-
I'm passing a small part of his story along as lately it has been an inspiration and wake up call for me also just for what's important and life in general and hopefully will also be some for you
