I like Blacklake and Avila Beach.  Morro Bay is money, too.

Works for me. Morro Bay has a great set of par 3s.  Chalk Mountain is supposed to be good too.  To be honest, I was so impressed with Monarch Dunes, I would play there both days too.  But I'm going to stay out of the saturday decision.

I don't care where the Saturday play is, really. I think last year, we stayed away from a few places because they were puching the greens, so we will need to check into that.

I have already talked about this with my wife, so she knows I am going. The question this time will be if she is going to go with me. She won't be golfing, but may want to tag along if she can find something to do while I golf.

Wineguy from partyoffore is bringing his wife and I wil probably bring Susan.  The girls could make a day of saturday going to Morro bay and Cambria for lunch.  And there is a day spa at Monarch for the girls Sunday.

That may work, although I would never force my wife into doing things with people she doesn't know. I would think the day-spa would be fine though.

What was the name of that hotel on the beach, Kam?  Where we stayed?

I think it was the Sea Crest.  There are a lot of weekend house rentals up too.

I will check out Black lake as I can get a deal there.  Same with Avila Beach...But I heard so many good things about Monarch Dunes..I would like to play that one.

I will probably get up there Friday afternoon or earlier.

Count Richard Nydam in as well from Aptos!!!  Now some of you that are coming promised me dinner for those heads last year!  So chop up my Jocko steak bill......LOL!

Avila was terrible IMO, didn't you all play Cypress Ridge last year?  I really liked that course when I played it.  Black Lakes is ok, but not as nice as Monarch or Cypress.   I think this year is doable for me.

We played Hunter Ranch saturday and it was a good track but too far north. I like Dairy Farms and Morro Bay Muni.  The locals said Chalk Mountain is good course.  I played Blacklake last year on friday and it was a good course also.

Hunter Ranch is a drive from there for sure, but there is wine all around  yahoo.  Cypress is about 20 minutes from Black Lakes if I remember correctly.....FWIW Black Lakes doesn't hold a candle to Cypress Ridge (this is coming from my wife as I type this, I would agree)....but I had fun playing Black Lakes  winkey.

I just heard from Dave Schimandle at slickstix that Monarch Dunes just opened a 12 hole par 3 course that is supposed to be something special.  I will be getting up there about 1 on friday and I am going to play this track if anyone else is interested let me know.

Keith, if my wife decides to come with me, I won't be there until late Friday night, but if she stays home, I will be there early on Friday and will do that with you!
