Ordered up a set of i20 from Derek, went 5-UW with the uw at 49* and 4* gaps all the way down to a 25* 5i. Black dot, 38.25" 5i and id8 cord grips. The Pings showed up today and they look fantastic but even more importantly specs are dead on. These are the best looking Pings I've had in hand and can't wait to hit them tomorrow. Big thanks to Derek for getting the specs perfect and the great customer service. I'll definitely be ordering through him again in the future. I'll let him know this thread is here and he can chime in with his contact info if he chooses.

Anyway, here are the pics. Hopefully this works as I'm posting from my phone.

Brian,

Nice looking sticks.  Give us a breakdown of how they feel and work for you when you get a chance.

More importantly, I am impressed that you were able to post all of this from your phone.

Who is Derek?

Hoot29576, one of the first 5 members of this forum back in 2004. He lives in Texas now and runs a golf store, I think. He can order clubs for members from most OEM. Very good player and has played in few Nationwide tournaments.

I went with the cfs stiff shafts. I have heard good things about them and if I happen to not like them it would be easy to swap them out now since the i20 have ferrules.

Nice! Those were a close second for me and ended up with C-tapers in the S-56's. Hope to get my mitts on a set of these myself. Love that they have ferrules now.  prop

The ferrules definitely add to the look of the clubs.  I just am not a fan of their non-ferrule diagonal cut hosels.  No ferrules does make it a lot easier to finish the clubs when building them. What are the CFS shafts supposed to play closest too?

Hit them at the dome today, the diablo forged xp s300 are going up for sale. The i20 are awesome.

If anyone is interested in the diablo forged 4-pw I'll let them go for $325 shipped to a GD member. wink

They reminded me of a higher launching, smoother feeling Dynamic Gold. Kinda like they smoothed out the ZZ65's.

I've got a feeling that the i20's are going to become a cult club - ie, one of the iron designs that we'll be talking about 10 years from now.
