Found a matching 3 wood for my Golden Ram driver. After sitting on it for 4 weeks (it was in an ebay store, not a regular auction), I finally decided to buy it. Got it today, now I have an All Ram Bag. Except for the bag, which is Ping Retro. Maybe I need to find an old Ram staff bag... LOL for any who are curious: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=330280940356

There's some more interesting stuff out there now. First, these irons, perhaps the greatest set no one has ever heard of: http://cgi.ebay.com/Howard-Delaney-Cincinnati-Golf-1-SW-limited-RARE_W0QQitemZ320325232354QQihZ011QQcategoryZ115280QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemSome may have heard of Don White at MacGregor who does the custom grinding and shaping of iron heads for tour pros...well Delaney was one of those guys(along with Jack Wulkette) 30+ years ago. Back in the days when pros played with handwrapped leather grips, they used to flock to Cincinnati to have Howard Delaney personally put their grips on because no one else could get it just right. When Jack Nicklaus bought MacGregor in 1982, Delaney left the company and started Cincinnati Golf back in MacGregor's true home with a few other ex-MacGregor employees. One of the designs he put out was this set of blades, among the finest of that or any era. Price is a very steep, but they are truly a piece of golf history, and Delaney is one of the legendary minds in golf design....I think he even got elected into the Clubmaker Hall of Fame years ago. Second, this putter, which has no great story but has to be one of the strangest things I've ever seen. Hickory shafted, with a glass insert so you can see straight through to the green. Paul Runyan always did things his way, I guess putter design was included in that: http://cgi.ebay.com/Paul-Runyan-Reflector-Mirror-putter-WOW-RARE-ONE_W0QQitemZ200289649574QQihZ010QQcategoryZ115280QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'm sure Ebay is thrilled to collect repeatable huge fees from such sellers that sells almost nothing due to his high prices of worthless clubs. But he keeps on listing them over and over again. Such as this one; http://cgi.ebay.com/Unhit-Lynx-1981-Lynx-10-2-SW-Steel-RH-R_W0QQitemZ310055071649

ND,
Do you ever game your classic collection? (When you're not laying pristine clubs on concrete to photograph...those people are such morons. Nobody, anywhere, ever, is laying down a quarter of what they're charging for those sets.)

I used to.
In fact for years I was a persimmon hold out. I used to be very long but by today's standards I am just long. But I played with a 1957 MacGregor M85W Eye-O-Matic until 1990. At the time I had a set of 1967 Haig Ultra's and put those down for a set of Haig Ultra Crenshaw Grinds from the early 80's. I have played with 3 or 4 old hogan designs, my favorite being a perfect set of medalions, Hogan PC's, and some early to mid 70's blades.
I still have many of these clubs and I have made a point to take out an old Cleveland Classic at least once per year just for giggles.
I am pretty well set with sticks now and do not anticipate changing much in the next couple years.

Those are dead sexy! I would even drag out my Doug Sanders irons to play with as I wore them-if I was only a few shoe sizes smaller.

Sweet sticks, but that guy needs to learn how to use the macro function on his camera! I know someone who has a set that looks almost like that one.
