yeah, i saw that you had the CI-1 (which is now in BST) - man, if you had that in the CI-18 with a 70*, I would have picked it up.

I just put thru an order to Steve tonight but I do have a question here though: what's the misty finish really like in day light? I can't make it out if it's like a gray, light or dark or dark metallic silver, shiny? That full sight line looks great as well - hope that's not a "extra" on the cost though  whist

It looks like a titanium bike frame, with some depth to it.  Sort of a deep metallic gray.  Sweet Color!  No glare in the sun.

Woohoo!  I so hate the glare on my NC Series #4 when I have to putt in the mid afternoon so this will be really, really, really great! Been talking to Steve, the head, weight and the 70* lie is exactly what I wanted. Throw in the full sight line and some metallic gold paint fill, it will be the Carrera4 in the bag.

I would be curious to hear your review/experience with the plumber neck. I think that version REALLY is the sleeper of the series.  It sets up so nicely and just tracks very easily (if I do say so).  My gamer is a rincon neck version shown in my avatar that has no offset, but I am planning to play around with a plumber neck version over the winter and then get on a PuttLab with both of them.

White paint looks sharp on the cold star, FYI.

nvm, i ordered it with the metallic gold, that was all...cheers Grin

question though: how hardy and what sort of maintenance does the coldstar finish require? do i oil it everytime (if so, what oil type) it's played, once a week etc?

Not really any maintenance needed on the cold star.  It's plated and should resist rusting on par with stainless. No oil or silicone needed.

Spit shine as necessary.  Store it dry. Never leave any putter for an extended period in a wet headcover.
