without reading the whole thread - its too long

i reckon it tells you that you should swing at 98/99mph rather than 101mph because you dont connect properly at that speed

why not do a comparison with all the clubhead speeds being the same?

Thanks!  It's even better than most realize.  Results are near identical to Trackman normalization.

I'll be posting a detailed analysis soon revealing how well a $239 software program can rival the results from high end system costing 150x more, making it the perfect complement to a TrackMan or any LM system worldwide.

Regards,
Todd

The HX Tour 56 is the least spinny ball based upon LA ratio

What is the importance of the LA Ratio?

I just use it as a "judge" of how much a particular ball is spinning.  One never knows the "dynamic loft" at impact or what part of face the ball is hitting on the club.  It ain't a perfect metric...  But given your highest smash factor and highest ball speeds were with the HX 56, I don't you caught that ball on the screws or COG, which results in less spin.

Given your high LA angle, you're gonna want to reduce spin.

David

Thanks for all the input,

I've played two more rounds since the fitting with the HX Tour and the HX Tour 56,  since it's so wet right now, I'm not getting much rollout, but overall I like the (HX Tour 56) putting, and chipping and shots around the green just felt better.

Off the tee, I was maybe 5-10 yards farther on the carry average with the HX Tour 56.  And I'm definately hitting the ball really high.  My normal driver I've had all year, was in the 13* launch angle window and this weekend with the new driver, I was definately hitting a higher ball flight.  Great Carry, but we also had no wind,  so couldn't tell how it reacted in the windy conditions yet.

FYI:   Altitude setting at 4000 ft has all the numbers more reasonable and spot on.

That would be nice if I was that high, but I'm at 1,382 ft elevation.

I'm going to stay with the Driver and Shaft I have, and keep playing until spring before making any decisions.

For now, it's working out great in the conditions I'm playing in.

But it is nice to see how the numbers translate on the Optimal Flight, looks like a very nice software program.

My first golf ball fitting, pointed me to away from golf balls that I was interested in, and pointed me in the right direction.

Now when the TM RED LDP are available.  I might have to do it all over again, the Pro-V1, HX Tour, HX Tour 56 and TM RED LDP and compare the numbers again.

Hopefully someone can chime in about the setting for the Roll out numbers, so the fitter can set his system correctly next time.

Thanks for everyone's posts and information on this.

Really a great thread, thanks. That's a fantastic setup, and will yield ballspeeds much higher than most others, but the TP-6 really isn't especially low-spin  as Oziks go - in fact it's about the spinniest shaft in the  lineup. I think you'd expect more rollout with the XCon 6 and Code 6, but you'd lose that slick zylon feel. Altus would be too high-launching by the sound of it, and if the TP-6 is releasing well then the F7M2 would be a big change. I think you're doing the right thing by sticking with it  for a while. TP-6 hasn't got nearly the attention it's deserved...

Played twice this last week and a Tournament today.

Really HIGH launch and didn't get any release at all.

Still early on, 3 rounds is not enough to justify a shaft change, but it's looking that way.
