one other detail regarding the shafts for the i10's, I bought these from Sam and like all the ho material that I purchase it gets sent straight to the club builder.... when I went to pick the re-shafted irons up, the guys assistant had painted the prep area (obviously these were pulls from a Callaway? not sure --- maybe Sam can chime in) anyways as it is, the painted area gives the clubs a look of having a ferrule..... has not bothered me at all

Hey Shawnee, I think those are my old PX. lol  They were pulled from a set of Srixon 701 a while back, they were a factory install in the srixons. Not sure what they went in from there. Maybe some PI5's?  Glad they're working for you. The painting of the prep are was a good idea!

Yep. Unless Same bought a 2nd set of px 5.5 along the way those are my old ones. You've had those i10 for a while now too. They must be working great for you.

indeed, I believe December 2008 so just over a year, January is when Sam sold me the shafts, I had the stock Ping shafts in them originally.... no need to consider a change in fact these just got back from a round trip out to Ping in PHX to get the lie angle adjusted .... still firmly in the bag  whist

Great lookin' bag, Sean.  Oh man, oh man, oh man!  winkey

I really like those vintage covers.  And the 64* Mizuno wedge bent to 63* (I presume?)
What is the bounce on that wedge, after you bent it.  popcorn

Also, what's your distance's between the 18* fwy and the 18* hybrid??

Thanks Jim!
Not sure of the bounce after bending the 64 to 63, I know that my clubmaker has ground the whole heel off to navigate the Bermuda rough better and to maintain the open face angle. Really a surprise how some of these shots are so dead when they land LOL, which is a good thing.
The Hybrid vs 5Wood in a nutshell, the bag is set up for my home club, the PNT2 is a low flyer and basically a draw flight.... the 5 Wood can be hit in many different shapes and trajectories.... have never Vectored for distances so I really can't answer the different distance question, just 2 completely different clubs.

Hey guys, modified my Ping i10’s….
Replaced the PX’s with the DG S400 Tour Issue.
I picked up some CG14 Wedges with these shafts and love them…

So the club guy had a set of pull’s for my Ping i10’s 4-9
And of course they had tip prep from the r9’s they were pulled from,
so we decided to grind the hosels down and add ferrules….
Also got rid of the atomic orange with some Testors model paint.
And then the old school touch with the hard to find 50th Anniversary
Victory grip from Golf Pride with the Grip Rite/Swing Rite guides and REAL cord! LOL … this is NEW old stock that I found a source for these online.

Of course the driver has changed:

TM SuperFast TP / Aldila R.I.P. 60X @ 44.5

I am looking forward to some range time tomorrow morning.
What do you think?

Intersting with the ferrules on the i10, I like.
How's the Superfast TP treating ya? The RIPs a good shaft was hitting one last fall. Just chucked a RIP Gamma in my G15 and was very happy after the range beat down with it.
