Probably not the best time to be looking for a game since we have about 10" snow on the ground and it's 20* outside.
Let me know I like to travel around the area.

South Bend here...yes, shoveling 10 " of snow definitely tends to put a damper on your golfing opportunities.

Maybe we can play this spring...

Hey PackerFan,

It would be interesting to get a few folks from the area together once in a while.
We could probably draw some from Chicago for a round out at Blackthorn or Warren.
I live in Elkhart and have been a member at Christiana Creek for the past few years.  But I still like to travel a bit to play good courses like Rock Hollow, Mystic Hills, Island Hills and one of my new favorites Grande Club in Jackson, MI.
I would really like to get into some of the Indy area course like Wolf Run , Purgatory, Brickyard Crossing they are still still on my wish list but I plan on getting those checked off next season.

i'm in Fort Wayne and go to Elkhart frequently to visit my g/f's parents.  they live a mile away from the Flagstix range.  the only places i've been are Black Squirrel, Old Orchard, and the course in Middlebury at 15 and 20.

I actually like that course in Middlebury, It's called Spring Meadow Farm, They usually have great rates and it's a decent course the greens are usually fast, then it can be diabolical.  But I enjoy it.

That makes three from our area, a few more and a few months from now we could put a game together.

I don't play golf anymore.  Well, maybe I do play golf, sort of.

I quit keeping score, started drinking beer, and began playing better.

Soon to be off-line until I find a job.

If anybody is looking for a place to play in the winter, Black Squirrel is open all winter and in good shape.

i just played blackthorn this past weekend for the first time. its a great course! i usually play the warren (as im a student).  warren's fescue is unreal when they let it grow. greens were comparable for the two courses.  i feel that warren's layout is such that you know what shots you need to execute because you can see everything. its a much flatter course  from the tee boxes.  blackthorn has a lot of blind tee shots and shots that elevation needs to be taken into consideration. i think three of the hardest holes i've ever played are 2, 6, and 18 at the warren.  blackthorn was very challenging, as well. but it seemed to play shorter than warren.

Now that I am back to playing again after my back surgery maybe we should consider getting together some time for a round.

I am not sure if blackthorn still has their special but I remember playing there several week ago for less than $30 with gps cart after 3:00pm

Maybe we can get that done before the end of our short season.  I can't his weekend as I am playing in some stupid scramble on Sunday.

OK fellow hoosiers, I am ready for a GD outing.  I think we could probably round up about 4-6 guys from here and meet somewhere in the middle.

If your interested please list your city and we'll get em on a map  and pick something in the middle and get a round in this summer.  I have a few more events but I am pretty open to playing any Saturday or Sunday, during the week is out for me.

I played both those courses last week. It was a little damp but I had a great time playing them.
