Heard some interesting rumors about Phil from some tour caddies

A friend of mine is a tour caddy and I just met up with him last week.  He told me a couple rumors about Phil Mick...  He said he's actually not well liked on tour despite the fact he is a media darling.  I heard the switch to Callaway was due to a large gambling debt at some casino and the check from calllaway was written directly to the casino.  When he said he "HAD" to switch at the Ryder cup he wasn't kidding.  The mighta broken his fingers if he didn't pay.  This is kind of old news and I had heard it before, but it does confirm...

The other MUCH more interesting story I heard was that Phil knocked up some Black woman who is going to keep the baby.  I guess Phil has the same affliction as Hugh Grant...  His PR people are doing their best to keep it under wraps, but word is she's having the baby and once she does there will be DNA tests and the story will break.  She's due before the masters, so the story should break just before April....   We'll see how he plays....

That rumor has been floating around for some time, and rumor is that there is a SI article that they are sitting on about the "issue"

I don't believe either.  Perhaps he did have a gambling debt but "break his fingers if he didn't pay?"  The guy makes millions and millions per year.  How you figure he wasn't able to pay?  Someone would'be leaked it to the press if there was a big gambling debt and especially if it was paid off by Callaway.

Great point. Why is it so hard to believe? Phil is human. There are tons of ppl. out there that have "weaknesses" other women, gambling, booze....etc. Just bcs. Phil is a media darling and pro. golfer does that make him immune.....  Phil, Hugh Grant, and other celebrities just have their "mis-haps" aired in public. Price of fame.

I  agree with DaDriver, and as with all topics of gossip, they all inevitable slant down this narrow road.  And besides, I thought this was a golf channel, not a soap opera. 

Bulllshoot like this is one of the reasons Bullshootgolf is where it's at, letting the kids rant and gossip.  Oh what do I know?
 
I just hope this isn't the direction over here, I kind of like it over here and was hoping for the relaxed nature of this site to influence the newcomers.  Newbies should be influenced in their actions by the older members, not the other way around.

I do not see any value of this POST whatsoever, yes I know the old catch-all "if you dont like it go somewhere else" or "just go to another POST" I got some info here and this is it= your friend, the tour caddy, and Villegas' caddy both have big mouths and are snitches. You might have asked your friend about the rampant drug usage and alcoholism amongst caddies and see if that is actually true or false. I read that either here or another site that rhymes with BSG and l know that does not make it true but still paints your friend in a very bad light now doesnt it? l could type some things that would make your head spin about 3 famous people some who you may have seen on TV on Sundays in the fall every year, that is if you watch football, but if l type that here l do not gain anything and just shows all that read it that l cannot hold my mud and am a little biatch snitch. l was taught not to tattle and if l get caught l get caught, if you get caught you get caught, not "johnny did it too, it was his idea" but then again l have seen people sell out family members in homicide investigations for $20 just so they could get themselves some dope, but l always admired the crook that said "I did it, nobody else was involved"  l wonder what these bigmouths would say about you?  So you see, the freedom of typing goes both ways, lm sure you think lm an A-Hole for typing this but until your name is written on my retirement check, lm not going to worry about that, but would hope that you use some restraint the next time you get yourself a little nugget of info, so see you really can't complain about me typing this in defense of what may/may not have happened because l have the same rights as you. l feel fortunate that we live where we do and have that right and know that if everybody agreed this wouldnt be a fun place to have these nice discussions about uh...er...oh, thats right GOLF.

Don't leave, everyone needs to know about these things.  The PGA does a great job making the players look like perfect people, but everyone is not perfect.

One of my regular playing partners mentioned the gambling rumor over some brews after playing today. I did not bring it up, he did. The only thing different was that both Phil and his wife both have a gambling problem.

FWIW, I find the rumor mills entertaining but take gossip with a grain of salt. I'll believe it when there is no reasonable doubt.

I can confirm two things:

1) he is one of the least liked guys on tour by the other players
2) a majority of his $7 million gambling debt was incurred while he was in Vegas for the Vegas Invitational last fall which is why he pulled out after 2 rounds (there was no threat of finger breaking, Phil's a regular)

No clue on the pregnancy and won't comment on that
