I've always messed around with grips so am used to having different ones.
I really like the Lambkin grips on the driver and 3-wood, admit to having yellow or orange just for the colour of the hybrid and messing with the wedges.
I do keep the irons consistent and am about to regrip to Golfpride with the red top.

Yes they are Shaft Skinz, just for fun. Get some strange looks and they haven't affected their use as far as I can tell.

Those are fairly crazy, and I thought I got some weird looks with my two limeys and matching grips. shocking they look pretty solid though.

Just curious about your Alpha Hybrids. The shaft for the 5H has the logo furthuer up on the shaft than the 3H. If they are the same R flex, shouldn't the logo be further down the shaft due to the increased tip trim?
Nice set of sticks BTW

Firstly, I put them together and I am a rank amateur. If I remember they are tip trimmed almost the same, but different butt trim for length.
Does that make sense? Was that the right thought process when I made them? They do work.

Not really. If the tipping was the same, the logos would be equal to each other in the picture, since the bore depth is equal. As it appears to me, the shorter of the two clubs (the 5H I assume) is tipped about 3/4" less than the 3H . If you hold true to tipping in general, the 5H should be tipped about 1 inch MORE than the 3H. This would put the logo closer to the head, not farther away and IF my observations are correct, then the 5H is WAY softer than the 3H. The 5H is about 14 grams heavier than the 3H, which by itself softens the flex. This is why you tio more as you go up (ie3 to 4 to 5 to 6 etc). They may work for you, but the 3H is definitely stiffer...I'm not trying to call you out or anything, I'm just pointing out something that doesn't quite jive.

Thanks, I learn something every day on this forum, that's great.
I'll have to see about correcting this for the 2008 season.
I could pull the 5H shaft, trim it correctly and add a shaft extension to get back the length - right?

You could certainly do that. Should work just fine. Just have to try to recall how much you tipped it before, and figure out how much more to tip it to get to the right amount.

one other thing you could do is reverse the shafts and then extend the 3H...
